Chrissie Oldfield

Chrissie Oldfield’s academic and teaching interests include employment relations and employment law specialising in the public sector, equality and discrimination. She has written extensively and given numerous conference papers in these areas and won the Emerald Literati Network Award 2009 Award for Excellence - Highly Commended for joint article, ‘Why Not Teach Diversity’ published in the International Journal of Public Sector Management.

Chrissie teaches Public Management and Governance, Managing in a Regulatory Framework and HRM in the Public Sector amongst other units.

Previous professional posts have included work in the public sector and as Research and Policy Officer and then Equality Officer in the trade union movement. Chrissie was appointed member of the Employment Tribunals for England and Wales and sits on the Employment Tribunal Race Discrimination Panel.
